Enjoy the Wonderment
of the Holidays
Tis the season… to reflect and celebrate the growth of a-z Therapy Center, honor and acknowledge the achievements. I would like to recognize an amazing team who has surrounded me with unconditional support since we opened our doors nine months ago. Beginning with; Matt McGrath, whose long hours and calm demeanor provided reassurance from day one. Kara Tucker, for her encouragement and always having my best interest at heart, the long shopping days and endless nights were so appreciated. Bonny Phyfield, who continues to provide me with inspiration, knowledge and unselfish deeds. Andrea Ward, for her belief in what’s possible, along with her endless ability to reach out and connect. Dan the Web Man, I love your view on life and ability to create for me…thanks. Diane Zoller, who donated her valuable time bringing creativity and guidence. My gal pals who lifted me up and become family through their collaborative efforts; Doreen, Maera, Sophia and Dee. Most importantly my acupuncturists and therapists, who hang in with me every week. I am blessed to have the most nurturing, caring and giving individuals working beside me. Their patience and positive attitude make each day a gift. And Mom, whose support and encouragement is always appreciated. With this team on board I look forward to the new opportunities 2009 will bring.

New Therapy: Ear Acupuncture
Ear acupuncture can be a very effective method for relieving acute pains and chronically stiff joints. For some problems it can be more effective than body acupuncture. Ear acupuncture is easy and safe for self-treatment. Ear acupuncture is well known for suppressing food cravings, and reducing the urge to smoke. These treatments are quick and very inexpensive. First appointment is $30 which includes an assessment. Each additional follow up appointment is only $10.

Oil of the Month: Christmas Spirit™
Christmas Spirit™ is a sweet, spicy blend of orange, cinnamon, and spruce essential oils that tap into the happiness, joy, and security associated with the holiday season. With Christmas Spirit™ on hand, simply open a bottle and start diffusing!
Ingredients: Orange (Citrus aurantium), cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum), and spruce (Piicea mariana)
For aromatic use, diffuse or sprinkle on logs in the fireplace, on Christmas trees, on cedar chips for dresser drawers, or on potpourri. Use all year round.
Christmas Spirit™ is available for a special price throughout the month of December.

New Therapist: Lyn Eden

Holiday Eating
by our nutritionist, Linda Pearce
It is that time of year again when we find ourselves sitting at a table full of delicious food and trying to decide how much to eat, when to stop, and whether dessert will be indulged in. Well, just remember that your stomach is only the size of your fist. If you eat more food than that, the stomach must stretch and digestion considerably slows down. Get ready for your nap! Enjoy your holidays but consider the size of your meals to feel your best, too.
Holiday Hours
Christmas Eve 10am–7pm December 25-28 CLOSED
Reopening on Dec 29th.

Santa Stella Speaks
Santa Stella says stay safe during the holiday season.
Many holiday plants can lead to health problems in dogs and cats. Among the plants to keep out of reach are holly, poinsettia (also called Christmas flower), acorns, Amaryllis, Christmas Rose, Holly and Mistletoe berries.
Pine needles, when ingested, can puncture holes in a pet's intestine, ouch!
When we are stressed by holiday activity or during travel, we may require more water. Dogs typically pant more when they feel stressed. Keep fresh water available for us to drink, and we will stay faithful forever.
Have a healthy holiday to you and your canine and feline families.
